Kerry Lifeline

Kerry Lifeline – Suicide Prevention, Counselling & Support

Don’t think about the future just make a decision to get through the day.

kerry-lifelineEven if the thought of surviving the days ahead seem daunting and unbearable, just think about the next hour, and the next, and then the day ahead.

Although it may seem as if your pain and unhappiness will never end, it is important to realise that these feelings are usually temporary.

Solutions are often found, feelings change and unexpected positive events occur.

Feeling Suicidal is often temporary. This is not something you have to bear alone.

Give yourself some distance between thoughts and action. Say to yourself, “I will wait 24 hours and won’t do anything drastic during that time”.

There are people who want to support you during this difficult time. You can choose to live and it is important that you find some relief from your pain. To do that you will need to find a way to increase your connections with people who will listen. Even if it doesn’t feel like it right now, there are many people who welcome the chance to support you during this time.

All calls to Kerry LifeLine will be treated as a priority and we will endeavour to give you an appointment as soon as possible.
