Kerry Lifeline

Adults, Adolescents, Children and Parents

 Adolescent and Adult Services

Individual counselling and group work is offered to Adults and Adolescents. This involves a member of our team going out into the community, schools and adult education centres.

Counselling can be helpful to deal with issues such as Stress, Anxiety, Depression, Abuse, Communication Problems, Coping Difficulties, Bereavement and Loss, Relationship or Family Difficulties, Crisis Pregnancy, Work Related Issues, Low Self-Esteem and Confidence.  At certain times in our lives, we all encounter difficult or challenging situations. Family and friends can be a great support yet occasionally we may need someone with more skill to talk to.

Child Play Therapy Services

Child Therapy Services are currently offered at our Centre here in Killarney. Child counselling/play therapy aims to help children cope better with emotions, understand problems, develop necessary coping skills and make positive choices.  During counselling/play therapy children are encouraged to explore and express their feelings through one of many media depending on the child’s individual preference e.g. talking, art, telling stories, drama or play.  We offer parenting support as part of our child services.  If you would like to make an appointment for your child to attend please contact SouthWest Counselling Centre on 064 663 6416 or email: info@southwestcounselling.ie
