A fond farewell was held for Dr. Geraldine Sheedy, Director of SouthWest Counselling Centre at the Franciscan Friary. Geraldine was the Director of the Centre for the past 13 years and originally joined the Centre in March 2000. She was instrumental in developing the services and resources available at the Centre and in building up a caring and professional team of counsellors and support staff.
The Centre is now a valued and essential part of the community offering low cost counselling services to individuals (children, adolescents and Adults) as well as providing support services, Workshops and Seminars.
A presentation was made by staff thanking Dr. Geraldine Sheedy for her years of dedication and devotion in building up the profile and services of SouthWest Counselling. The Staff and Board wish Geraldine the very best in her career.
