Third year students at St. Brigid’s Secondary School in Killarney have been busy hiking the hills and mountains around Killarney in an effort to raise funds for the South West Counselling Service.
The girls combined the hike, which was part of the Billy Vincent Award with the idea to fundraise and their achievement saw them donate a cheque to the Counselling service.
SouthWest Counselling Centre wish to extend a heartfelt thank you to St Brigid’s Secondary School, Killarney 3rd year students and staff for their fundraising support. This funding will go towards providing vital counselling services in the community. In these difficult economic times demand for our counselling service continues to rise. Fundraisers like this one help to ensure that financial circumstances are not a barrier to anyone getting help when they most need it.
